Learning and Teaching in Fluctuation - Quickfire
Today for my MAET quickfire activity creation I drew the picture above in about 5 minutes (I timed it but forgot to hit start for a minute). We were asked to illustrate our responses to seven questions about learning and teaching. At first I was a little stuck on the logistics of answering as thoroughly as possible but I noticed a pattern in how I would answer each question: everybody learns, and teaches, in their own unique ways. No methods offered from teacher or learner will always fit perfectly. Sometimes teacher and learner work together to find understanding of a subject. sometimes the teacher presents knowledge and the learner can take that in, and sometimes the learner tries and fails at learning the lesson at-hand, but learns something else in the process. My drawing represents this as choices that a drop of water, a flame, and a leaf might have to make, and they each must rely on prior knowledge of the objects before them, what the purpose of the choice (lesson) is, and how they may need to protect themselves when handling their choices.
